When one too many stains in the carpet has been driving you nuts and you think it’s time to buy new, think again. Consider a professional carpet cleaning instead. Or if the stain is just too difficult to get out, you could even consider having the carpet dyed a darker color. You don’t have to buy new at all. A professional cleaning or even dying the carpet a darker color is going to save you a lot in the long run over buying new.

If the stains are from regular wear and tear over the years – ground in dirt and/or pet hair perhaps – it’s possible that a simple carpet cleaning rental you do your self is sufficient. Of course if you do the carpet cleaning yourself it will be cheaper. A few stains or a well-used area’s thorough cleaning is easily done by yourself.

However, for larger areas and to ensure you get it done properly, you might consider hiring a professional carpet cleaner to come in and do it for you. They usually include several rooms at once in a package.  So perhaps in addition to having certain areas done, you could get the whole house cleaned at once. Save your well earned dollars and have brand new looking carpets without the bill of buying brand new!
