Recycling Furniture is Eco Friendly

We’ve all used hand me downs from the parents or other family members at one time or another. But more often than not, the furniture we no longer need or use goes to the street and then to the dump and forgotten. These otherwise good and sturdy useful peices of furniture could be re-used by people who can’t afford new products.

If you sell it cheap or even give away items via online classifieds or newsletter forums, you aren’t guaranteed to find someone who will take these things off your hands. Recycling furniture is eco friendly.  Even if your peice isn’t antique, it could still be useful for someone else. Many recycling companies will refurbish furniture or use parts to make new peices. So the next time you want to get rid of your old sofa, chest of drawers or even a bookcase – instead of tossing it to the street for the garbage, call a recycling company. They will come get the peice for free and take it off your hands to be used for a good cause in someone else’s house.
